Paper Moon Restaurant, London

Refined hospitality at the OWO

At Paper Moon Restaurant, three stones play distinct roles while contributing to a coherent interior. Innova Stone's recorded package spans material sourcing, manufacture in Italy, transport and installation across the bar, dining areas, floors and restrooms.

The project

Set within The OWO, the restaurant required stonework that could carry a strong visual identity while meeting the practical demands of a busy hospitality interior. The package moves from expressive bar elements to precisely integrated floor bands, fitted dining features and restrained restroom finishes.

A circular stone island and cylindrical base give the central bar area a monolithic focal point.

The curved edge and cylindrical support make the fabrication logic visible at close range.

Stone and application

Patagonia Original gives the bar and principal fitted elements their distinctive character. Calacatta Covelano forms the precise floor inlays, vanity tops and selected furniture elements. Travertino Navona brings a quieter, warmer register to the restroom cladding. The result depends on the stones working together rather than competing.

Selected materials

  • Patagonia “Original” — bar, central tables and fitted elements

  • Calacatta Covelano — floor inlays, vanity tops and selected furniture

  • Travertino Navona — restroom cladding

The challenge

The reported technical challenge was translating curves and substantial components from 20 mm stone while controlling weight, transport and installation. Floor bands were manufactured and installed to tight tolerances, meeting the established timber floor, Roman-cube mosaic, and cast-iron grilles at closely coordinated junctions.

The polished surface turns the natural movement of Patagonia Original into the centre of the composition.

Calacatta Covelano bands meet timber, Roman-cube mosaic and cast-iron grilles within a tightly controlled floor junction.

Innova Stone's contribution

Innova Stone's recorded role covered slab sourcing in Italy, manufacturing, transport and installation.

The resolution

The package was resolved element by element: curved corners and built-up bar edges, segmented construction around cylindrical supports, controlled layouts across the octagonal dining table, and accurate floor strips set into the existing finishes. Repeated material and junction decisions connect the individual spaces.

An octagonal stone centrepiece anchors the dining room while preserving the symmetry of the space.

The octagonal table combines patterned stone faces, a circular upper element and integrated planting.

A Calacatta Covelano vanity introduces a quieter stone application within the restroom.

The completed work

The completed restaurant moves from the illuminated stone bar to the quieter dining room and restrooms without losing continuity. Expressive surfaces provide identity, while curved forms and floor transitions provide the technical proof.

The entrance frames the transition from The OWO into the restaurant and the stone-led interior beyond.

Across the completed restaurant, bar and dining elements read as one continuous hospitality interior.
