From design intent to installed stone
The strongest outcomes come from connecting material, detail, production and site conditions early.
Our process makes those connections visible and keeps responsibilities clear.
01. Understand the project
We begin with the design intent, application, performance requirements, programme and available information. Early questions focus on the decisions that could affect material selection, detailing, fabrication or installation.
Useful inputs include drawings, specifications, schedules, reference imagery, programme information and access constraints.
02. Develop the material route
Natural stone varies. Appearance, movement, porosity, finish, thickness, yield and availability all matter, as do the conditions in which the stone will be used.
We help the project team assess suitable options, understand material-specific implications and make selections that can be carried through to production and installation.
03. Coordinate the technical information
The approved design intent must be translated into information that can be fabricated and installed. We review dimensions, interfaces, tolerances, jointing, edge details, sequencing and practical constraints with the relevant project parties.
The objective is to resolve key questions before they become costly site problems, while recording what has been agreed and by whom.
04. Coordinate fabrication and logistics
Once the information and material route are approved, specialist fabrication is coordinated to the agreed details, available slabs, production sequence and programme.
Packing, transport, access, handling and site readiness are considered as part of the delivery route, not as an afterthought.
London-based, supported by a long-standing Italian sourcing and fabrication network.
05. Install, inspect and resolve
Installation brings together the material, fabricated components and the realities of the building. We coordinate the agreed sequence, communicate with the relevant trades and address practical conditions as they emerge.
Completion is recorded through the agreed inspection, snagging and handover process for the commissioned scope.
Clear responsibilities support better outcomes
Complex stonework depends on coordinated decisions across the client, designer, contractor, specialist fabricator, installer and adjacent trades.
Innova Stone defines its contribution for each commission and works with the appointed project team around the information and approvals required.
What we need from the project team
a clear point of contact and decision route;
current drawings, specifications and programme information;
timely access for surveys, reviews and installation;
recorded approvals for materials, details and changes;
clarity on responsibility for adjacent design and site conditions.
